Any time you get off the trolley you must:

Set the parking brake, turn off the trolley, pocket the keys, exit with 3 points of contact, and shut the door

If you don’t fully explain what you’re doing, then you will:

Safe start the vehicle, note all warning lights operate then go out

The fuse box with 3 spare fuses, the fire extinguisher, and the 3 emergency triangles

The needle must be in the green, a valid inspection, and secure

Where are the emergency triangles?

In the outdoor storage compartment

What is checked after the emergency equipment?

Windshield and traffic monitoring devices

What must the windshield be?

Clean and not cracked, flawed, or obstructed (other than the inspection sticker)

What must the mirrors be?

Clean, properly adjusted, and not cracked

What must the mirror armature be?

Unbent and properly secured

What must the rearview camera monitor be?

Operable and adjusted for viewing when not covered for the test.

Check all settings (intermittent, low, high) and washer fluid

Heaters and defrosters

How do you test the defrosters?

Reach around to feel the air flow on low and high

How many heaters does the trolley have?

3: Driver, middle, and rear

How do you test the heaters?

Listen on both low and high settings

Horn and bell

How do you test the horn and bell?

Press on the horn, press on the bell foot switch

What lights must you note clear at the start of the parking brake test?

What is important about the air tanks for the parking brake test?

They must be full

What is the usual cut out pressure?

120–140 psi

How would you prove that the air tanks are full?

Release the parking brake, while in neutral press the service brake a few times, then rebuild up to the cut out

How do you test the parking brake?

Put the vehicle into drive and note that the vehicle does not move when the parking brake is set
