Self-awareness
The ability to reflect on one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Deindividuation
A psychological state characterized by a diminished sense of individual identity, often leading to disinhibited behavior.
Self-concept
Your knowledge of who you are, including your personal characteristics.
Self-esteem
Your evaluation of yourself and the value you place on your personal characteristics.
Cognitive dissonance
Tension produced by holding two contradictory ideas or beliefs.
Self-perception theory
A theory suggesting that individuals develop attitudes by observing their own behavior.
Buyer's remorse
A feeling of discomfort or anxiety experienced after making a purchase, due to doubts or regrets.

A theory that assesses the relationship between different aspects of self, such as actual, ideal, and ought selves.
Upward social comparison
Comparing oneself to individuals or groups perceived to be of higher status in some respect.
Downward social comparison
Comparing oneself to individuals or groups perceived to be of lower status in some respect.

The tendency to attribute successes to internal factors and failures to external factors.
