Oh. I didn’t know you had a daughter.

AUGUST: It’s my daughter’s birthday today.

AUGUST: Yeah. They never mention her, do they? Or her mother.

I really don’t know if I’m comfortable with that.

AUGUST: Hey Cass, would you.. Would you come sit with me a moment?

AUGUST: I know you may be apprehensive after last night.

AUGUST: Listen, I’ll stay over here and you can just sit in that chair there. I won’t come near you, I swear. I just… I don’t wanna be alone right now.

AUGUST: You know, you remind me of her a little. Quiet as a mouse but smart as a whip… I never got to properly say my goodbyes to her and her mother.

I wouldn’t either.

Of what? Bliss? This isn’t bliss, this is… despair. You all use drugs to cope with blindly following a man who is so hellbent on his own happiness that he’d destroy yours.
