Cerebral aqueduct
this long and slender structure connects the more superior third ventricle to the inferior fourth ventricle.
Interventricular foramen
As the name implies, these holes (foramen) connects the lateral ventricles to the third ventricle
Fourth ventricle
this medial ventricle exists posterior and inferior to the third ventricle. It is typically contained between the pons and cerebellum.
Lateral ventricles
as the name implies, these two ventricles sit laterally from the other two ventricles which are positioned very medially. They also happen to be the two largest ventricles and exist superior to the third ventricle. These ventricles are typically contained within the cerebrum
Third ventricle
this medial ventricle exists just inferior to the two lateral ventricles and appears oval in shape. It is typically contained within the thalamus.
