Premature atrial complexes (PAC):
A P wave that prematurely formed,
sometimes combining with t wave.
Treatment is usually not needed & will self remedy
If situation differs physician will treat underlying issues.
Atrial Flutter:
Saw tooth pattern,
consistent through out strip;
QRS to F wave ratio 3:1
Treatment will be for what caused the flutter to begin with;

Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib);
atria is beating at a fast & irregular rate, quivering;
causing unclear P wave formation or no P wave formation at all
Wandering Atrial Pacemaker (WAP);
-3 or more different P wave morphology in a strip;
60-100bpm;
Usually doesnt cause serious symptoms
if symptoms do occur then beta blockers will be used
Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia;
Same as WAP however with an addition of Tachycardia;
3 or more P wave morphologies in a strip;
greater than 100bpm;
treatment is for what caused MAT:
EX. Respiratory failure:
Calcium channel blockers,
Potassium,
Magnesium,
beta blockers
