EAP

Check, Call, Care
A procedure to follow in an emergency: Check if the scene is safe, Call emergency services (911), and Care for the person in need.
Triage
The process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition.
CPR
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, an emergency procedure to restore normal breathing and circulation.
AED
Automated External Defibrillator, a device used to treat life-threatening cardiac dysrhythmias.
Asthma Attack
A condition that results from the constriction of the airway, requiring immediate management.
Anaphylactic Shock
A severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that requires immediate medical attention.
CPR Technique for Adults
Chest compressions at a depth of 2-2.5 inches at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
Bradycardia
A slow heart rate, typically defined as less than 60 beats per minute.
Tachycardia
A rapid heart rate, typically defined as more than 100 beats per minute.
B.E.F.A.S.T.
A mnemonic for recognizing stroke symptoms: Balance, Eyes, Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 911.
