Blood Type O
Has Anti-A and Anti-B antibodies in the plasma.
Blood Type A
Has Anti-B antibodies in the plasma.
Blood Type B
Has Anti-A antibodies in the plasma.
Blood Type AB
Has neither anti-A nor anti-B antibodies in the plasma.
Rhesus antigen
An erythrocyte antigen; individuals either have it or they don't. If you have the Rh antigen, you don’t make antibodies to it.
Agglutination
Can lead to clotting, haemolysis, and anaemia due to incompatible blood mixing.
