refers to change in position between two points. It is shortest length between the initial and final positions of an object. It is a vector quantity.

Speed

is a measure of how fast an object moves.

Instantaneous speed

is the speed over the shortest possible time interval.

Constant speed

object speed remains the same

Velocity

displacement divided by the time taken.

Average Speed

the total distance traveled over the total time it takes to travel the total distance covered. It is a scalar quantity.

Acceleration

is the rate of change in velocity with time.
