Scapula
A flat bone that serves as a shoulder blade, connecting the humerus with the clavicle.
Tibial tuberosity
A bony prominence on the tibia where the patellar ligament attaches.
Pubis
The medial bone of the pelvis that articulates with the ilium and ischium.
Foramen
An opening or hole in a bone that allows for the passage of nerves and blood vessels.
Cervical vertebra
The seven vertebrae in the neck region of the spine.
Zygomatic arch
The bone structure that forms the prominence of the cheek.
Hyoid bone
A U-shaped bone in the neck that supports the tongue and is not directly attached to any other bone.
Greater sciatic notch
A large notch in the pelvic bone providing passage for nerves and muscles.
Mastoid process
A conical bony prominence located behind the ear that serves as an attachment point for muscles.
Articular surface
The smooth surface where two bones meet to form a joint.
Fossa
A hollow or depression in a bone.
Phalanx
Any of the bones in the fingers and toes.
Talus
The bone located above the heel bone that articulates with the tibia and fibula.
Optic Canal
A canal in the skull through which the optic nerve passes.
Sacral processes
Bony protrusions on the sacrum that provide attachment for muscles and ligaments.
Costal cartilage
The cartilage that connects the ribs to the sternum, allowing for flexibility.
Sternum
The breastbone located at the front of the rib cage, consisting of three segments.
Illium
The large, flaring bone that forms the upper part of the pelvis.
Ischium
The lower, posterior portion of the pelvis.
