-Faith: The virtue by which one firmly believes all that God has revealed on the Word of God revealing it, who can neither deceive or be deceived
-Hope: The virtue by which one firmly trusts that God, who is all powerful and faithful to His promises, will in His mercy give us eternal life and the means to attain it
-Charity: The virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake and our neighbors as ourselves for the love of God
If, without the sacraments, God can save virtuous people who sincerely seek truth, why do Catholics make such a big deal about sacraments and try to bring others into the Church?
It is true that one can be justified without having been baptized if one ever turns away from truth. However, it is less certain and more difficult to reach ultimate salvation without being baptized. We want as many people as possible to be baptized and receive the sacraments. Receiving the sacraments, especially Baptism, is the only certain way to ensure Salvation in Heaven with God.
Describe the suffering servant of Isaiah.
Though he was harshly treated, he did not say anything. An inncocent is suffering on behalf of other people to expiate their sins.
What is grace and why is it so important?
~A participation in the life of God given to us by God Himself, freely that allows us to know and love God
~Makes us in Gods favor/love
~Justification (by grace makes us friends of God)
~Sanctification (allows us to merit and habitual disposition to act so as to deserve a reward)
~Divinization (Union w God)
