Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum

Abundant in cells that produce protein for export

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum

contains collection of enzymes (protein) that perform specilizaed tasks including membrane synthesis.

Golgi Apparatus

Modifies, sorts and packages proteins etc for storage and release

Mitochondria

(releases energy) converts the chemical energy stored in food into compounds.

Nucleus

contains nearly all the cells dna, controls the cells activities

Nucleolus

Involved in ribosome synthesis
