What caused India's Sepoy Mutiny?

Religious Conflicts; Sepoys, who were Hindus and Muslims, issued rifles where cartridges were greased with beef and pork fat, respectively. Hindus could not touch beef, just like Muslims with pork.

Sepoys rebelled, killing many British officers, to head to Delhi to establish a new government. The BEIC no longer ruled ruled India, and the British Government ruled India.
