morality
priciples and standards determining which actions are right and wrong.
free will
the ability for humans to make their own free choices in life.
conscience
An inner voice which keeps a person on the right track; providing a sense of right and wrong; an instinct helping us make the right choices.
A Wrong
any act or behaviour which contradicts accepts moral religious or ethical codes. it is a relative term.
virtue
a quality viewed as good, right or honest. for instance chasity or charity.
crime
an unlawful act which is punishable by the state. Braking the law in the country.
sin
a deliberate immoral action, breaking a religious law.
Absoloute
when a person has a principle e.g it is wrong to kill, then the person never alters or deviates from this belief. they apply this principle to all scenarios.
Relative morality
When a person holds a moral principle but is prepared to adapt or adjust in certain situations e.g. stealing is wrong in most cases but is potentially acceptable when...
Justice
Fairness; where everyone has equal provisions and opportunity.
A Prison Chaplain
a member of the clergy or other religious group attached to a private institution, such as a prison, school , hospital.
forgiveness
to grant pardon for a wrong-doing; to give up resentment and the desire for retribution against the wrong doer.
good
an act or behaviour which is deemed morally or religious or ethically right. for example charity
Suffering
pain or distress which can be physical or emotional. suffering can be hardship caused by injury or loss
