What is the analogy that you will use in order to solve questions that are related like if units s present what about dimensions etc
Also how would you assign the analogy??
You would use the song Neeche phuloon ki dukan uppar gori ka makkan ; Unit → phuloon ki dukaan, dimension → Gori ka makaan
What are the dimensionless functions and also state any exceptions if any
Trigonometric functions
Exponents
Numerical values (Usually, unless the numerical value helps a variable become a dimension)
things like pi
The ‘d‘ when doing differentiation, ex, dy/dx, when taken, the dimensions are y/x
The design when doing calculus
What are the rules for significant figures
All the zeros that don’t have a number >=1 aren’t significant numbers
When rounding off after a decimal point, 2 cases arise:-
1) Even numbers present before 5 => You leave it
2)Odd numbers present before 5 => You add 1 to it
What is accuracy
It is the closeness of a value to the true value
What is precision
How precise a given value is
What are the error rules when calculating with errors?
What does and m show when calculating errors
∆m → error in mass ; m → Total mass
What is the value of the scale on which Vernier callipers are measured?
10 mm = 1 cm
What is the value of 1 VSD reading
9 mm
What is the value of 1 MSD reading
1 mm
What is the Least count of an instrument
It is the minimum reading that can be taken by an instrument
How would you find out the L.C for an instrument
1 main scale division - 1 vernier caliper division
How would you find out the reading of an instrument?
Main scale reading + Vernier scale reading * L.C
What is the L.C. on a meter scale?
1 mm
What is the L.C. on a Vernier callipers?
0.1 mm
What is the L.C. on a Screw gauge?
0.01 mm
What is the relation between V.S and M.S
1 mm on main scale = 0.9mm on V.S
What is pitch?
Distance travelled by circular meter on the M.S
What is the formula for calculating the L.C. on a screw gauge
Pitch/number of circular divisions (or) M.S.D/number of circular divisions
What is the formula for getting the final reading on the screw gauge
MSR + (L.C * Circular scale reading)
