fats are energy dense. excessive consumption leads to weight gain.

too much LDL, sticks to the wall of blood vessels, narrows and hardens arteries making it harder for blood to flow through. (atherscelrosis)

unhealthy fats increase LDL cholesterol levels in the blood (leads to cvd) Trans fats can also decrease levels of HDL cholesterol, further increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke.
