American with Disability Act (ADA)
Requires reasonable accommodations in employment and access to goods, services, and public buildings; affects the real estate industry as professionals are employers and their offices are public spaces.
ADA's Goal
Enables individuals with disabilities to become part of the economic and social mainstream.
Title One of ADA
Requires employers to make reasonable accommodations that enable an individual with a disability to perform essential job functions; applies to employers with 15 or more employees.
