Quantative

Discrete
Quantitative, has gaps or interruptions. (Only whole numbers). Counted. Cannot be divided
eg: no. Of patients in each hospital
Continuous
Does not posses gaps or interruptions. Can be fractions 1.55, 1.2 or whole numbers. Can be divided.
Eg: temperature, weight, time
Nominal
Qualitative, cannot be ordered
Ordinal
Qualitative, can be ordered
Interval
Quantitative. Does not have a true zero (0 doesn’t mean absence of it). Usually can be negative. Only allows addition or subtraction
Eg: temperature (Fahrenheit and celcius) , iq scores, time on a clock
Ratio
Quantitative. Has a true zero. Cannot be negative. Can be subtracted, added, multiplied and divided.
Eg: height, weight, distance, salary, age and temp in KELVIN

Ogive
Bar graph that shows cumulative frequency (constantly goes up)
