The time where the americans fought the british for freedom, the effect after was the united states becoming a country.

Civil war

Was the war of freedom, as the opposioms for slavery expansion happened prior. The new birth of freedom happened, and reconstruction era happened to repair what’s been damaged.

Columbian exchange

Was when columbia discovered north america, resulted in north american-europen interactions and voyages that led to trade between north americans and europeans

Mexican-American war

Was a war caused between the U.S and mexio because of disagreemenets of the border between the U.S and mexico because of the texas axxenation. This led to a war between the 2 and led to land easion into the west for the U.S as they won because mexico was weak in military. Also, the U.S took over mexico city which mexico owned, which is imperialism.

The land purchases

All 5 land purchases: The lousiana purchase(1803), the Florida purchase(1819), Texas axxenation(1845), the mexican cession(1848), and Gadson purchase(1853) all expanded land to the U.S in north america. All these lands led up to the manifest destiny and expansion of slavery opposions

The gadson purchase is when the united states puchased land from mexico for railroad build for the south to improve transport to help rebuild the damages from the mexican-american war and to boost the economy.

The Louisana puchase was when the french puchased land in the U.S aqwuired from presdient thomas jefferson, which had the missipi river, but for the major part of the area, the U.S imperialized indian and native american land.

The flordia purchase (adams onis purchase) unlocked the southernmost part of the country leading up to texas. It was viewed by U.S diplomacy victory, created borders between the U.S and the spanish.

War of 1812

Was a war between the U.S and the british, resulted in the era of good feelings after the U.S won the war. The era of good feelings was alot of joy and pride among the countryand politcal harmony and freedom feelings. The war was caused by british and french restrictions on american trade and the attack of american ships. French was asked to stop, but kept attacking american’s ships and was a violation of american soverity. President Madison declared war against the french.

Democrats, Federalists, and Anti-Federalists

Democrats support free and equal rights for all, therefore, opposed unequal rights and slavery.

Federalists supported in a strong nation and government to make laws and protect the country. Federalists supported a strong military, politcs, and economy.

Anti-Federalists supported the exact opposite as federalists supported, as they only wanted state governments for each state instead of a government for a whole country because they feared of huge power.

The great aweakenings

The great aweakenings was the events of religious awareness and revivals in american history, social reform movements, and woke america up to respect and cherrish christanity and all other religions. Thos led to church growth, had a social connection with god, and colleges were founded for education.

The first great awakening(1730-1760), had the leaders of johnethan ewards and geroge whitefield. Old lights and new lights was a converviously that led to the invention of lights. Some believed that this time revolutioned america by ideas of liberty and equal frredom, which was the exact convertiousies of the american revolution.

The second great aweakening(1795-1835), was a religious and social boost in america as religion was spread for people to believe in god and be religous. Social reforms was women rights.

Spanish-American war

The spanish-american war in 1898 was caused by spanish attacking american ships, and the U.S declared war, and established protection of cuba. This war allowed the U.S to merge into the global power, and led to the treaty of paris.

Phillipine-American war

The phillipine was was caused by the end of the spanish-american war in 1898. Philipines encouraged the war and engaged the U.S forces to attack them. The U.S declared vicotry in 1902.
