How do you complete the Chi Squared test?
Calculate each row and column’s total and name each cell as a letter to make it easier to identify
Calculate the expected frequency for each cell
Calculate the observed value - expected frequency for each cell
Square the new values for each cell
Divide each new value by the expected value
Add all of the values together
Calculate the degrees of freedom
Find the critical value and compare with the observed value
How do you calculate expected frequency?
Row Total x Column Total
Total Expected Frequency
How do you calculate the degrees of freedom?
(Number of rows - 1) x (Number of columns - 1)
Does the observed value have to be less than or greater than critical value in Chi Squared?
Observed value >= Critical value
