What is the function of the nucleus?
It is the control center of the cell. It stores DNA, controlling cell activities like growth, metabolism and reproduction.
What is the function of Mitochondria?
Produces energy for the cell.
What is the function of the vacuole?
Stores water, nutrients and waste
What is the function of the golgi apparatus?
packages, modifies, transports proteins and other molecules to when they are needed in/out the cell.
What is the function of the endoplasmic reticulum?
Helps make and transport proteins and lipids.
What is the function of the cytoplasm?
Jelly-like fluid holding organelles.
What is the function of the cell membrane?
Controls what enters and leaves the cell.
What is the function of the cell wall?
Provides support, protection and helps the cell maintain shape.
What is the function of the ribosome?
Makes protein.
Two basic tasks every cell must accomplish to produce energy and remove waste.
Energy is produced by mitochondria
Lysosomes with support from the endoplasmic reticulum, golgi body and the cell membrane
