Baddeley & Hitch Model (1974)

Central Executive

• is the control centre for working memory and directs attention to select relevant information from the environment

Phonological Loop

• manipulating auditory information

Visual Spatial Sketchpad

• is responsible for manipulating visual information or spatial information

Episodic Buffer (2000) model

Episodic buffer serves as a temporary information store that integrates information from LTM, VSSP, and PL and plays an important role in the formation of episodic LTM
