Stomach
holds the food and mixes it with acid + enzymes that continues to break the food down into liquid/paste
Small intestine
takes the nutrients needed for the body from the broken down food and gets rid of useless ones
Liver
breaks down, balances and creates the nutrients + absorbs drugs in forms that are easier to use
Gall bladder
Stores bile & thick liquids that are produced by the liver to help digest fat
Pancreas
produces enzymes that help digest food and specific proteins
Large Intestine
takes water and electrolytes, produces and takes vitamins and forms fences toward the rectum for removal
