Explain
An elaboration on how the evidence provided supports the main point. (This shows that…This means that…)
Points Restated
A restatement of the thesis and main points in the conclusion. (In conclusion,…)
Alternative Views
What the opposite point of view is, supported by evidence, used in argumentative writing. (Some people think that…I disagree because…)
Concluding Statement
The final wrap-up of the essay, explaining its importance or the hoped outcome for the reader. (I hope you can see…This is important because…)
