Memoir
When an author tells a true story of an important time or event in their lives.
Setting
Where or when a story takes place; can be super specific or very broad.
Central Idea / Main Idea
A central idea is the main message or idea expressed in a text, related to the author's purpose. It is what the entire story is mostly about.

A Latin root word meaning 'look' or 'see'.
Adjectives
Parts of speech that describe a noun or pronoun, answering the questions: What kind? Which one? How many? How much?
Adverbs
Parts of speech that modify a verb, adjective, or adverb, answering questions like Where? When? In what way? To what extent?
