Wearing jewellery
Evidence found on the wrists and ankles of skeletons
Wearing clothes
This is an assumption as the natural fibres have decayed over time
Drink offerings
As the worship of the gods, shown as cups have been found at the entrance to some tholos tombs
Eating a meal
Seen through the evidence of animal bones and seashells found in tombs
Gifts
Assumed in some tombs/graves as these items have since been stolen, but also shown through burial objects in non-looted tombs
Sacrifice
Archaeologists are unsure if this was a frequent practice as the remains of two horses have been found at Dendra but nowhere else
Tombs were reused
Evidence of tombs being redug so the body could be interred alongside new grave goods (which makes it hard to estimate the age of these artefacts)
Steles
Sometimes grave markers (steles) were placed on top of a grave/the raised mound of earth
Caskets
Several caskets have been found which are made from clay and depict a funeral procession of women (some in elaborate dresses or feathered caps) - but these aren’t common so may not reflect all Mycenaean burials
