What is a constitution?
A set of laws that establishes the framework for how a country is to be governed
What is a labor union?
an organization of workers that act to protect worker rights and interests
What does affirm mean?
to validate and to express commitment to something
What is collective identity?
the shared identity of a group of people, especially because of a common language or culture
What are collective rights?
rights guaranteed to specific groups of people in Canada
due to historical reasons such as Francophones, Anglophones, and First Nations

pieces of land that were set aside exclusively for First Nations
What does “reasonable limits” mean?
means your rights can’t get in the way of other people rights

when there is a law or rule challenged in court because it may not follow the charter
