What is the Bleeding Kansas and why was it caused?

Because of the Kansas Nebraska act, it allowed settlers to vote if they wanted slavery or not. This lead to the bleeding Kansas, nicknamed the mini civil war, because they don’t know when or how to use popular sovereignty.

Scott was a slave, his owner dies, thought he was free but the court said no. He lost. He offered 300 dollars to the owner’s wife, she said no.
