what is the difference between com and non com diseases
com - spreads to person to person
com - spread by pathogens such as bacteria or viruses
non com - cannot be passed from person to person
what are bacterial diseases
single celled organisms
can reproduce by themselves
100x smaller then reg cells
they can produce toxins
what are some types of bacteria diseases and there functions
salmonella - the animal caught the disease when it was alive it can cause fevers, stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhoea
gonorrhoea - sexually transmitted disease (STDs) sexual contact it can cause pain when urinating and thick discharge
u can prevent this by unsafe sex and a condom but u can treat this with penicillin and antibiotics
what are fungal diseases
fungi are eukaryotes ike plant and animals but are either unicellular or multicellular
what are some examples of fungal diseases
rose black spot - purple and black spots on leaves it reduces photosynthesis and doesn’t grow so well it spreads in water or w or the wind but u can treat this by chopping off the infected leaves
what are protist disease
protist are also eukaryotic but are majority single celled and some are parasites which live on or inside another organism protists are transported by vectors like other organisms
what is a exmapleof protist disease
malaria - its when a mosquito sucks out parasites on another animals body and then spreads it to humans concequences are fever, headaches, recurring episodes, death
