Physical Quantity
A physical quantity is a characteristic of a substance or phenomenon that can be measured and expressed as a number followed by a unit. Examples include length, mass, time, and temperature.
Non-Physical Quantities
Characteristics that cannot be measured using physical units, such as emotions or concepts like beauty.
Base Units
Base units are the fundamental quantities in the International System of Units (SI) that define other derived units.
Derived Units
Derived units are created by multiplying or dividing base units. They measure complex physical quantities like speed, force, or energy.
Area: Square meter (m²)— derived from length (m x m)
Speed/Velocity: Meter per second (m/s) — derived from length divided by time (meter/second)
