What are organelles?

Organelles are the structures found in cells. Examples of organelles are the nucleus, cytoplasm and the cell membrane.

Cells are the building blocks of all organisms. Examples of cells are red blood cells and muscle cells.

What is a tissue?

A tissue is a similar group of cells which work together to do a job. An example of a tissue is a muscle tissue.

What is an organ?

An organ is a group of tissues which work together. An example of an organ is the heart.

What is an organ system?

An organ system is a group of organs which work together to do a job. Organ systems make up full organisms.

What does the respiratory system do?

The respiratory system takes in oxygen from the air into the body. The body needs oxygen to function.

What does the circulatory system do?

The circulatory system carries oxygen around the body through the blood which is pumped by the heart.

What does the nervous system do?

The nervous system helps carry messages throughout the body.

What does the reproductive system do?

The reproductive system helps make special cells that are needed to produce new life?

What does the digestive system do?

The digestive system digests food and extract sugar and nutrients from it which is distributed through the blood.

The main organs in the respiratory system are the nose and nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs, and alveoli.

The main organs in the circulatory system include the heart and the blood vessels.
