What is a bronchi?

A series of successively branching an increasingly tiny passageways within each lung

What do the bronchi do?

Transport inhaled air to the respiratory portion of the Lungs

What is a primary bronchi?

One enters each lung at the hilus

What is the secondary bronchi?

Branch from primary bronchi to enter each lobe of the lung

How many secondary bronchi does the left lung have?

Your left lung has two lobes and therefore two secondary bronchi

How many secondary bronchi does the right lung have?

The right lung has three lobes and three secondary bronchi

What are segmental or tertiary bronchi?

Smaller tubes branching to each segment of lung tissue
