Gender

Cisgender

A term for individuals whose gender identity does not match their biological sex.

Transgender

The outward presentation of one's gender identity, which can be feminine, masculine, unisex, or androgynous.

An acronym representing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual identities.

LGBTQUIA

Refers to the attraction and identification of individuals, which can be heterosexual, homosexual, or other orientations.

Sexual Orientation

The internalization of culturally approved ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving related to gender.

Gender Role Socialization

Prejudice against a certain sex, often resulting in discrimination against women and LGBT individuals in a patriarchal society.

Sexism

Generalized traits and expected behaviors associated with men and women, which can limit roles and perceptions.

Gender Stereotypes

The principle of providing equal conditions for all individuals to fulfill their potential, regardless of gender.

Social, cultural, learned behavior, changes over time, varies among cultures
