What is a nucleophile?
a “nucleus loving” molecule; donates an electron pair to form a bond.

Inversion of configuration at the chiral center.
What substrates can undergo Sn2 Reactions?
methyl, primary, and secondary substrates.
How many steps are in a Sn2 reaction? What are they?
2 Steps. Step 1 - Fast protonation. Step 2 - Slow nucleophilic attack.
What is a nucleophilic attack?
The nucleophile approaches the substrate (typically an alkyl halide) from the opposite side of the leaving group.
