How is Mary’s title as the Immaculate Conception connected to her title as the New Eve?

Eve was created without sin, and Mary was conceived without sin. Eve freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin and death into the world. Mary used her grace to freely choose to obey God, bringing Jesus and ultimately eternal life into the world. This is why we call Mary the “New Eve.”

How is Mary’s Assumption something that can inspire hopeful anticipation in all Christians?

Jesus ascended into Heaven with His body, on His own power. Mary could not ascend of her own power because she is not God, so God brought her back to Heaven, body and soul. 2. Jesus would not have had to tell St. John to care for Mary at his death because one of his brothers would have done it.

  3. Mary remained a virgin through the birth of Jesus, and after. Mary was the “tabernacle” for Jesus, so she had to remain pure.
