Colony
A group of cells that are permanently associated but do not communicate with one another.
Multicellularity
Organisms composed of many cells that are permenatly associated with one another, only in eukaryotes, can be large
Aggregation
A temporary collection of cells that come together for a period of time, communicate, and then separate.
Tissue
A distinct group of cells with similar structure and function.
Organ
Different tissues organized with a specialized structure and function.
Organ system
Various organs that carry out a major body function.
What are all of the kingdoms
Eubacteria, Archeabacteria, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, Animalia
Which kingdoms are multicellular and unicellular
Multi - Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista
Uni - Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Fungi, Protista
Both - Fungi, Protista
Which kingdom has a cell wall or cell membrane
All have cell wall except Animalia
What is the difference between colonial organism and a multicellular organism and aggregation
colonial organisms come together permanently but can not communicate, unlike aggregation where the organisms can come together temporarily but communicate. Neither are considered multicellular because both must be able to communicate and stay together permanently.
Which are autotroph and heterotroph
Autotroph - Plants
Heterotroph - Animals, Fungi
Both - Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Protists
Differentation
cells develop a specialized form and function
