The Four Noble Truths

- After he became enlightened, the Buddha first taught the Four Noble Truths to five hermits in Deer Park near Benares. They became the first Buddhist order called the sangha. - The Four Noble Truths are one of Buddha's key teaching. They explain problems humans face and why. The truths also begin to offer understanding of how human can escape these problems.
