start of the play
One upon a time, a very long time ago…last friday, I think, Winnie the Pooh lived in a forest called the Hundred Acre Wood
Pooh- (second) AAAAAAAAAAARGH
You see, more than anything in the world, Pooh loved honey (Pooh enters) Isn't that right you silly old bear?
Pooh- Buzz buzz buzz I wonder why he does?
So… with his tummy leading the way, Pooh decided to climb the tall tree where the bees kept their honey
Pooh- Ouch.
Are you okay, Pooh? Does anything hurt?
Pooh- and if I know anything about anything…
And Pooh was fairly certain he did…
Pooh- …that hole means Rabbit. And Rabbit means company. And company means food. Rum tum tum tiddle um
So, Pooh stuck his head in the hole
Pooh- But this is me, and I'm not in Borneo
It was true. In fact, Pooh was relatively sure he had never been to Borneo. (leave usl and take a block)
Rabbit- I will have nothing more to do with you and you are no longer my friend
(Enter usr) So, for a week, they took turns reading the book to the north end of Pooh while Rabbit hung his wet towels on the south end, and in between Pooh felt himself getting slenderer and slenderer… and at the end of the week
Christopher Robin- Alright, I think Pooh is thin enough now.
So Christopher Robin took hold of Pooh's front paws and Rabbit took hold of Christopher Robin and all of Pooh's friends grabbed a hold of Rabbit. The Logistical Expert joined in as well. And they all pulled together. (exit dsr)
conga line
(enter dsl) Here comes my old friend Eeyore. Shall we sing Eeyore?
Eeyore- I do not care if we do or not
Let's do then
Eeyore- the old grey donkey he ain't what he used to be ain't what he used to be ain't what he used to be the old grey donkey he ain't what he used to be a long long time ago
the old grey donkey he ain't what he used to be ain't what he used to be ain't what he used to be the old grey donkey he ain't what he used to be a long long time ago (at the same time)
(Pooh enters)
(wave at Pooh then exit usl)
Pooh- In fact, I know just where to start our search. we'll ask mr owl!
(enter usl) mr owl lived deep within the hundred acre wood, in a place called the chestnuts, and if anyone knew anything about anyone at all it would be him (exit usl)
Christopher Robbin- These are our provisions! (scene change)
one grey day, not long after Pooh and his friends returned from their expedition to the North Pole, it started to rain. It rained for days and days. Piglet told himself that never in all his life, however long that had been, had he ever seen so much rain.
Christopher Robbin- It's the highest point in the Hundred Acre Wood. We'll be safe from the rising water here.
And so, Mr flew all over, informing everyone to come any way they possibly could to Christopher Robbins Island. Poo himself floated on a honeypot. A rather ingenious mode of travel, he had thought to himself. finally, all of them were gathered on the small piece of land, surrounded on all sides by the rising water.
Pooh- Certainty we can. (scene change) (all cheer)
Eventually, Pooh and his friends became great friends with Captain Dusseldorf and his pirates and the water started to recede.
(everyone exits singing for he's a jolly good pooh bear)
and that is the story of winnie the pooh
Pooh- oh my, yes. You did a wonderful job
you silly old bear
