Andy in the car and court
Andy is drunk and angry which contrasts with his cold demeanor in the courtroom. This darkens the G.V.V as all evidence points to him and between the two scenes we deduce that he's bitter and cold and remorseless

Shawshank is violent as the innmates intimidate the newcomers. The others who don't show little sympathy and place bets on who will cry first
The Warden
The Warden's hypocrisy where he prioritises the Lord's name over the conduct of his prisoners. This combined with Hadley's sadism when he breats the man darkens the G.V.V
Fat ass
He is subject to abuse and threatened with rape. He is beaten to death by Hadley for crying which darkens the G.V.V.
