Truth
The correspondence of the mind with reality.
Objective Truth
Objective truth is true independently of what others say or believe. If everyone disagrees, the reality of truth doesn’t change.
Ex: 2+2=4 is an objective truth.
Perception
Our perception of reality can be true or false to varying degrees. I can perceive wrongly.

Material things in their deepest nature are composed of two ultimate events:
Prime matter: Remains constant in any change and gives individuality to each being.
Substantial form: Accounts for the actual existence of different things, their distinctive properties, and the alteration that takes place when one substance changes into another.
Matter
What a things is made of.
Form
The definition or essence of something.
Substance
What a thing is essentially.
Accidents
Secondary characteristics:
Quantity, quality, relation, habitus, time location, position or situation, action, and passion.
Act
Potency
Each of the Four Causes
Material Cause: What it’s made of.
Formal Cause: What makes it what it is.
Efficient Cause: Where it came from.
Final Cause: What it is made for.
Logic
The science of right thinking.
The mind was made to do this, but it take work and discipline.

Simple Apprehension
An act by which the intellect grasps the concept of an object without affirming or denying anything about it.
Abstraction
Term
Words, phrases, or sounds in which concepts are expressed. Terms are not true or false, but clear or unclear.
Ex: dog, going to the movies, sunny days.
