Bobbin Stop
This stops the bobbin from winding when the bobbin is full of thread.
Bobbin Spindle
The bobbin gets placed on this when you need to wind the bobbin with thread from the spool.
Spool Holder
The spool of thread is placed on this holder.
Spool Pin
Holds the spool of thread in place.
Thread Guide for Bobbin Winding
A metal piece that the thread goes around in order to wind the bobbin.
Thread Take-Up-Lever
Pulls the thread back after each stitch, so that the stitches will lay evenly in the fabric.
Presser Foot Pressure Dial
This adjusts the pressure of the presser foot depending on the fabric being used.
Face Plate
A cover that conceals most of the inner working parts of the sewing machine.
Thread Cutter
Cuts the threads at the end of a row of stitching to disconnect your fabric from the sewing machine.
Needle Threader
This will grab the thread from the front of the machine and pull your thread through the eye of the needle.
Needle Plate
A metal plate under the needle. Has seam allowances on it for straight stitching. Has a hole in it for the needle to go through to the bobbin case to catch the stitch.
Bobbin Cover Plate
The slide plate is a clear plastic cover that covers the bobbin case to keep dust and dirt out of the moving parts area of the bobbin case.
Bobbin Cover Plate Release Button
A little button that when pushed to the right will release the bobbin cover plate so that you can place the bobbin.
Thread Tension Dial
Determines the tightness or looseness of the stitch and needle thread.
Reverse Stitch Lever
This is what allows backward stitching.

Stitch Length Dial
Determines the length of the stitch.
Stitch Selection Dial
The stitch pattern control lets you determine what kind of stitches you will be making, such as straight, embroidery or zig-zag stitches.
Stitch Width Dial
Controls how wide a stitch goes.
Presser Foot
The presser foot holds the fabric firm against the feed dog, so the feed dogs can pull your fabric through the machine.
Needle
Creates the top stitch.
Needle Clamp
The needle clamp is a black clamp to hold the needle in place.
Thumbscrew
This holds the presser foot in place and allows the presser foot to be changed depending on sewing needs.
Handwheel
Controls the up and down movement of the needle and take up lever.
Presser Foot Lift
The piece gently lifts the presser foot up and lowers it against the feed dogs.
Feed Dogs
Are a "metal teeth-like" part that works with the presser foot to pull and move (feed) your fabric through the machine like a conveyor belt.
Bobbin
Small flat plastic spool that holds the bottom thread.
Foot Pedal
This engages the machine to run and operates the speed of sewing.
Seam Ripper
Used to remove stitches.
Measuring Tape
A soft and flexible tool used to measure.
Straight Pins
Used to hold a pattern to fabric and when holding two or more layers of fabric together for sewing.
Safety Pin
A pin used to hold fabric together.
Pin Cushion
Holds pins and needles when not in use.
Sewing Gauge
6" long with slide, used to mark a hem or smaller seams.
Shears
Large scissors used to cut fabric.
