What is the purpose of a Lane line and where is it located?
It is located in any road to demonstrate that you are utilizing a piece of the street with traffic in the same direction.
What action is required when driving on a road with a Lane line?
Drive in the centre of your demarcated lane.
Where are Guide lines located and what is their purpose?
They are located in an intersection to guide you to the correct route in the intersection.
What action should a driver take when encountering Guide lines?
Move according to the markings.
What is the purpose of Furcation arrows or Bifurcation arrows?
To show the increase in the number of lanes ahead.
What action should be taken when navigating Furcation or Bifurcation arrows?
Safely make sure that you do not straddle any lane markings.
Where are Information Arrows mostly located?
In any road mostly in one way streets or wide intersection with a complex layout.
What is the purpose of Information Arrows and what is the rule regarding them?
They point out the direction you may drive in a lane or on a road; never drive opposite what the arrow shows unless otherwise requested by a traffic officer.
Where are Bicycle Crossing Guide Lines typically located and what is their purpose?
Located in any road especially in urban places to point out the section of the road to be used by cyclists to cross.
What action should a driver take in the presence of Bicycle Crossing Guide Lines?
Watch out for cyclists crossing or in a proces of crossing the road.
What are Road Markings Symbols used for?
To indicated to you that the road is leading to a specific destination or to inform you that the area is reserved.
What is the restricted action regarding Road Markings Symbols?
Never use a road of a marked portion of a road if you are not part of the group identified by the marking.
What is the purpose of Word Markings?
It supply additional information.
What action should a driver take when reading Word Markings?
Safely be on a look out for possible danger that could occure by reading the message on the road.
What is the purpose of Kerbing marking?
To indicate the presence of a raised sidewalk or island kerbing.
