The "Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees" in the Philippines.

Section 4(a): Commitment to public interest

Upholding public interest over personal interest and using resources efficiently, honestly, and economically to avoid wastage.

Section 4(b): Professionalism

Discharging duties with the highest degree of excellence, skill, devotion, and dedication, and discouraging perceptions of undue patronage.

Section 4(c): Justness and sincerity

Acting with justness and sincerity without discriminating, respecting rights, and avoiding extending undue favors to relatives.

Section 4(d): Political neutrality

Providing service to everyone without unfair discrimination and regardless of party affiliation or preference.

Section 4(e): Responsiveness to the public

Extending prompt, courteous, and adequate service, providing clear information, and ensuring openness.

Section 4(f): Nationalism and patriotism

Remaining loyal to the Republic, promoting locally produced goods/resources, and maintaining Philippine sovereignty.

Section 4(g): Commitment to democracy

Committing to democratic values, maintaining public accountability, and upholding civilian authority over the military.

Section 4(h): Simple living

Leading modest lives appropriate to position/income and avoiding extravagant displays of wealth.

a. Act promptly on letters and requests

b. Submit annual performance reports

c. Process documents and papers expeditiously

d. Act immediately on the public’s personal transactions

e. Make documents accessible to the public

Section 7 of RA 6713 “Prohibited Acts and Transactions”

a. Financial and material interest

b. Outside employment and other activities related thereto

c. Disclosure and/or misuse of confidential information

d. Solicitation or acceptance of gift
