The gov couldn’t have a army, enforce laws, impose taxes, and more.

Why was the national government intentionally weak

Because the colonists wanted to make sure that it doesn’t end up like britain when it came to power.

Why did the articles lead to the constitution

Because the colonists realized that the government couldn’t do anything.
