At the Chrysler- Plymouth Factory where used to make cars and then made ammo. Made most bullets in Evansville. Also rebuilt and refurbished a few tanks
What was the Ammunition Depot?
At the 4-H where they put the bullets before they were shipped off to other places. The concrete walls are a remaining structure and used as buffer walls to protect against explosions

Population in 1920s. Created by Black musicians. Conservative Hoosiers did not like their children liking “black music”

Full of bars and clubs were white and blacks enjoyed jazz together. Black business thrived and known as “Indiana’s Harlem”

Wealthy pioneers went for mineral springs and “healing water” sold as Pluto Water. New owner built massive hotel with copy of famous spas in Europe. Had golf, celebrity sightingins, healing water, illegal alcohol, gambling, and prostitution
