In the event of a retreat you would destroy everything that could be of use to the invaders (applied in the Soviet Union)

“New Order”

The order in which Nazis would rule Europe and exploit its resources

Holocaust

The mass destruction of Jewish people, political enemies, Slavs, Gay men, disabled people, and Gypsies by the Germans (They killed anyone they deemed “undesirable”)

Star of David

A Jewish symbol, used by the Germans to mark Jewish people

ghettos

designated areas of towns and cities. They were riddled with unsanitary housing, contagious diseases, and starvation. (definitely not somewhere nice to live)

Special units of Nazi soldiers

Genocide

The deliberate, carefully planned killing of an entire people on the basis of race, politics, or culture.

Concentration camps

Basically mass murder jails used to kill people (ex. Auschwitz)

Tripartite Pact

Basically the Axis power agreement (Japan, Italy, and Germany)

Persuaded the Japanese into bombing pearl harbor
