The Black Hand gang were a Bosnian Serb; they wanted an independent government because of the poor treatment and the high taxes.

How did Franz-Ferdinand get killed?

Franz-Ferdinand was with his pregnant wife her name was Sophie,  who also got shot. The first attempt didn’t work because the grenade exploded a few seconds later, so it didn’t kill him. Then, by accident, the driver took the wrong turn and Gavrilo Princip, who happened to be there, and took his shot.

Small conclusion:

Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia. Serbia is protected by Russia, so Russia declares war on the Triple Entente. Germany responds by declaring war on the Entente as an allied power.
