Contemporary (Kontemporaryo)
Timely and modern; refers to an issue or event occurring in the present.
Issue (Isyu)
A topic or theme, idea or thought, matter, or problem faced by people, for which corresponding solutions or answers are sought.
Contemporary Issue (Kontemporaryong Isyu)
A current matter, event, theme, idea, opinion, or problem that affects people or places.
Environment (Kapaligiran)
The condition and care of our natural resources and nature.
Health (Kalusugan)
The maintenance of an orderly lifestyle and the prevention of diseases.
Economy (Ekonomiya)
The livelihood of every citizen, such as jobs, income, and the price of goods.
Politics (Politika)
The management of the government and decisions that have an effect on society.
Peace (Kapayapaan)
The quietness and order necessary for the development of a country.
Human Rights (Karapatang Pantao)
The basic rights of every person that must be respected and fought for.
Education (Edukasyon)
The key to shaping the knowledge and character of every individual.
Civic Engagement (Gawaing Pansibiko)
The active participation of citizens in social and community matters.
Non-contemporary Issues (Halimbawa ng hindi kontemporaryong isyu)
Historical events such as the death of Dr. Jose Rizal, the First Cry of Pugad Lawin, Martial Law during the time of Marcos Sr, the establishment of the Katipunan, and the arrival of the Americans in the Philippines.
