Agitation
mixing or stirring speeds up reaction rate exposing unreacted particles
sometimes product particles build up on the reactants like bubbles and block the reactant particles from collision
agitation can remove this build up
State of subdivision (surface area)
breaking up reactant chemicals into smaller pieces means greater surface area is exposed to reaction
if more reactant particles are exposed, there will be more particle collisions per second
Concentration
as concentration increases, there are more particles in given volume
this results in more particles per second, increasing reaction rate
Temperature rate
Influences both factors of collision theory
particles at higher temp have higher kinetic energy, therefore particles collide more
