Acétabulum
A large hemispherical cavity in the lateral face of the os coxal that articulates with the femoral head.
Face Latérale
The lateral aspect of the os coxal that includes the acetabulum, gluteal surface, and obturator foramen.
Surface Glutéale
The lateral surface of the iliac wing, marked by two curved lines for muscle insertion.
Foramen Obturé
A large, oval or triangular hole in the os coxal situated below the acetabulum, providing passage for structures and muscle attachment.
Crête Iliac
The thick, curved upper border of the ilium serving as an attachment site for various abdominal muscles.
Symphyse Pubienne
The cartilaginous joint between the two os coxaux at the front, allowing minor movement.
Articulation Sacro-Iliaque
The joint between the os coxal and the sacrum, facilitating weight transfer from the upper body to the lower limbs.
Ligne Arquée
A curved bony line on the medial face of the os coxal separating the iliac fossa from the space below.
Epine Iliaque
Prominent bony protrusions on the ilium serving as attachment points for muscles and ligaments.
Insertions Musculaires
Points on the os coxal where muscles attach, including muscles involved in hip movement.
Cadre Osseux Ischio-Pubien
The bony structure formed by the ischium and pubis surrounding the obturator foramen.
Tubérosité Ischiatique
The bony prominence on the ischium where muscles of the posterior thigh attach.
Echancrure Sciatique
A notch in the ischium providing the passage for sciatic nerves and muscles.
Angle du Pubis
