Phenols (Phenolics)

Phenols or polyphenol based on number of phenols units in molecule.
Phenols are not alcohols because hydroxyl group is not bonded to a saturated carbon (4 single covalent bonds with max H atoms) atom.
Found in lignin & extractives.
